Community Master Plan Unveils New Logo, Launches New Website and Social Media Channels
Macon, Ga. — OneMacon, the strategic community plan committed to the growth and prosperity of Macon-Bibb since launching in 2013, has unveiled a new logo, website and communication efforts designed to share its collaborative successes and continued partnerships.
On the relaunched website, OneMacon.org, visitors can see the newly revised logo and read more about the continued efforts of OneMacon, including its culture of collaboration, the progress of its pillars and the latest news with the “We are OneMacon!” blog. The newly launched social media channels are also available with links throughout the website.
“With three years of continued work since implementing a collaborative plan that supports community vitality and economic development, our latest communication efforts share the successes of implementing new programs and strengthening existing assets to meet the community’s challenges,” said OneMacon Tri-Chair Robbo Hatcher.
Among those successes is the development of the Business Education Partnership (BEP) that is helping spearhead the highly-successful “Leader in Me” program into all Bibb County elementary and middle schools. Additional success stories are available and will be updated often on the new website and social media channels.
These newly invigorated communication efforts are on the agenda at the next monthly meeting of the OneMacon steering committee on November 1, 2016, 9 a.m., at the Macon-Bibb Chamber of Commerce. The media is invited to attend the meeting and learn more about the renewed communication efforts and the progress of OneMacon. Dr. Cassandra Miller-Washington, the Bibb County Board of Education Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) is also presenting a deep-dive on education, CTAE and the importance of student internships.
